Hi folks applied Passport yesterday at 3pm received today 9am.. very fast service in connecticut.. ready to fly this sunday going back home.. good luck people and enjoy the day while waiting for the proccess..
 
Yah went to Passport agency 9/10 pay overnight mailing recieved at 9/11 early n the morning.. spend $173.25>total 18hrs at all..

What documents did you take with you besides your naturalization cert? I have an upcoming trip and am considering doing the same.

When u go dont forget ur ITA for your trip.. they will process your application very quick..
 
It's always good to see fast processing. I guess one of the reasons for passport delay has to be background check, otherwise passport issuance should be an under an hour affair in my book. This thing of taking weeks on routine processing should be unacceptable. It's funny how people put up with things once they are used to it.
 
I think the st dept has recently announced that they are back to the normal proc times and the passport appl rush has reduced to pre summer levels.
 
Yes, that's right. My point is that even pre-summer timeframes are unacceptable. All passports should be processed within a day when they arrive to the passport facility (barred any background check hit). Then it would just be the wait to mail in and receive the passport according to the service chosen. There shouldn't be a routine and expedite, it should just be fast, that's it, one price.
 
So funny when my number was called, the cashier in the window told me to sworn nothing but the "thruth" and i said..Ohhhh no not again...after i sworn i gave my application to her that is exactly 3pm and after she reviewed my DS-11 she told me i can see my passport online status after 4pm, my openion, is about 2 hours only to process this blue book out of 28 pages...very nice pages though..better than my dad's old blue book..i like the EAGLE n page 3:D
