180days after sending them I 485 papers?

I had sent all my papers for I 485 to the INS 2 weeks ago and haven\'t heard anything from there.....was thinking that I can atleast see when my check sent to INS gets encashed just to see whether my 180 days have started. Any idea when they encash the check sent to them? Otherwise in general (on average) how long does it take after sending them the papers for the 180 days start???

when you get the receipt notice....

check on the RD...count 180 days from there...

most probably if you mail on say day X...then RD would come out to be X+1/X+2...depending on how you sent the mail...like FedEx,UPS or USPS....
