Hi,

1) Hypothetical situation: Applied for i485 and 200 days have passed from my ND. I decide to switch companies. My employer gets angry and decides to screw me. What are his options? What are my options?

2) Hypethetical situation: My I485 application got approved 20 days ago. I decide to switch companies. My employer gets angry and decides to screw me. What are his options? What are my options?

Legally speaking as of this minute - u might be in trouble if you go against your employer. You have waited so long, be little patient and dont fall for all the crap on this and other boards about people jumping ship. Wait till the interpretations come out.

Seriously, the employer could cancel your i-140 and you could be in trouble. If u have your GC, wait for atleast 3 months to quit. Take a 1 month vacation after u get it and that might relax you.

Hey - i have been with the same employer for 5 years and 3 weeks back i got my GC. i am still waiting for a few more months to jump.

In the first case employer cannot do anything. But in the second case he can .
Be careful when you quit. Do not act impulsively.
