180 day\'s/lay off related question -

after 180 days from the notice date of I-485 if someone had to change the company --a) does (s)he required to have a letter from the old company ?

b) What happens if the company closes out ( or ist has no intention to re-hire ) ?

c) within how many day\'s of lay-off the job-change should occur?

I might be in one of these situations very soon. please reply if anyone of you have had similar situation.
