140 With different state labor

Hi Gurus,
My labor filed on Illinois and approved on Oct 2003. After the labor approval my company applied 140/485 on Jan 2004(EB2) Vermont. Just I learn from my friend 140 should be applied on the same region(Nebraska).. Is it true?
If so what will happen my current 140/485.
I did received EAD,AP on May 2004 and FP completed on Dec 10th 2004.

Usually USCIS should notice such issues and forward the application to the correct Service Center. I guess they have not noticed this. If they will have a problem, i think they will forward to the correct service center. they would not deny your case or cancel your EAD/AP for this reason. Just that it may delay your case.
 
My case was same. I had labor clear in July 2002 from Illinois. Applied for 140/485 in vermont on Jan 2003. Got I-140 cleared in Jan 2004 currently waiting for 485 (RFE for spouse submitted on 11/24/2004. What will happen to 485?
