Hi,
I filed for I-140/I-485 concurrently in August (Vermont SC).
Unfortunately got layed off in October and now joined a new company on H1B transfer. I was wondering if I could use AC21 portability with my new company if my I-140 gets approved (with some luck) and 6 months pass after I-485 filing date. Please note that I was layed off before I-140 got approved and still is pending. As such my previous employer wan't going to withdraw/cancel I-140 that was filed for me. I was wondering what are my chances of getting GC?

I would like to know any opinions on this!

Thanks a lot for your help!!

Or if your former employer is willing to reply to any RFE's that might come, then hopefully you should be fine. Check with a lawyer though.

You have enough time for I-140 processing, look around this forum for
what kind of RFE are being issued for I-140. You might get past, you
should think before changing attorney's as they are key to responding to
RFE's. On other side, who knows, your case might get approved without an RFE, that is 60-70% of the cases.

Hope this helps. Good Luck!
