140 LUD at TSC

So, Texas seems to have been pretty much quiet for the last month or so, especially for those who submitted their applications after late September. I got one LUD today though it was for I-140, which acknowledges they've received our response to their RFE (which was totally unexpectedly about A2P). The message goes:

On November 1, 2006, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. Follow the the link below* for current processing dates....

Wonder how long it tends to take to get I-140 approved after this message. Would appreciate it if anyone could share your experience. Thanks much!

* Meanwhile, TSC is still quiet about I-485. No LUD whatsoever after FP. Not that I'm panicing, going nuts, etc (after all I am fully aware so many guys here have no LUD since FP so I'm ready to wait patiently), but still, a little bit uneasiness because this one pretty much depends on how security check goes.

usually it takes any where between a week to month ( in my case it was about 20 days i guess) .but all said and done you never know.

It was about the employer's ability to pay. It came as sorta surprise because the size of the organization seems big enough (900+) not to raise much concern about its financial ability -- business has been good, no recent layoff that could be any serious concern -- and the employer has a history of a fair number of GC applications.

Then again, I did read others' similar experiences, so perhaps I was just a little unlucky this time...

We sent the response on Sep18th and the last LUD was on sep 20th.
No updates after that.

I just notiece another LUD which was the next day, 11/2/2006, with no message change (and no email -- is the email notification supposed to be sent only when the message changes?).

I am new to this I-140 forum. My labor just got cleared from PBEC. I am planning to file I-140 soon.

Can someone please tell me how much time it is taking these days to get I-140 approved from Texas Center (without premium processing)? Also I see lots about LUD in this forum. Can you please tell me what is LUD?

Also once we file I-140, is there a way to check the status online?

Rajeev, see the post #9 and #10 of this thread.

LUD is as shed says, it indicates the last time they worked on your file.

And I get another LUD today (11/8), no message change.

And I got another this morning... and this time it's to notify us the case is, thank god, APPROVED! Two down, one to go...

i looked at ur signature and i realised that u didn't get an LUD on ur 485 the day u did the Fp or after it. is that true? look at my signature. did the FP last friday but no LUD since then. is that normal?

you would get very good idea about processing timings from here http://www.trackitt.com/. It varies from case to case. If you are lucky, you would get approval in 3-6 months.

That's a great, very helpful resource, and they keep improving their site's features.

I have to wonder what makes that many differences across different cases. Some of the applicants, without PP, got their I-140 approved at an amazing speed, but in many cases it doesn't seem like their applications are any different from any other.

By the by, another LUD the day after the approval. Hmm, they must be doing their own thing... :confused:
