140 is about to approve will 485 be looked at

I heard some one saying .

"If 140 is ready to be approved and FP is already done, 485 will also be approved along with 140"?

Is it 100% true?, I found in my search around forums it was true upto some extent?.

My I-140 was filed in Oct'2003, and recd RFE in Sept'2004 , replied to RFE 2 weeks back(end of Oct'2004).

My I-485 is filed in July'2004(Semi-Concurrent) and FP done for me and wife in September'2004.

When they process my I-140, will they also process 485?

Does any body know the exacts of it?.

Yes, thats true, I observed that too.

It all depends on how well you addressed/replied to your I-140 RFE. If that is fine, yes you will get your approval soon.
What happened to your FP? What does your I-485 online status? Has the FP results been reviewed by FBI/USCIS? If thats also completed, then you are good. If FP result's review is still pending, then you may want to call FBI and ask them to send the results back to USCIS soon.

How do you determine if your name check has cleared, Is there a way from the online status on the USCIS site?

I know the results of my FP were received on 04/28/2004, that is the last status message on my 485

Also, I sent an email to FBI about 3 weeks back, haven't heard from them yet.
