BCIS and that too VSC....... That's the reason.
There are people waiting from Oct'02 and earlier, at the same time there are lot of approvals for Oct'03 and later dates.
VSC has gone crazy lately. At some point of time the dates will progress very quickly as there are lots of cases approved in every range. But the wait for the left behind guys is very frustating
On the other note..... its same with I-485s too w/ VSC. There are approved cases from Aug '02 and left behinds from Oct' 01.

I was looking at the archives of VSC processing dates. At some point EB2 was set at October 2002. Now they have revised it to May 28,2002. Was it due to some pending cases between May and October? Or are many cases still pending in thousands?
It has become fashionable now to get an RFE for I140 for speedy approval.
I hope not to get an RFE after one year which may be triggered by EAD approval app which was received on Dec 30th.

Per this forum postings, there are some pre Oct '02 cases still pending. That could be the reason they reset the dates back. Nevertheless no one is sure why VSC does all that they are doing...processing randomly. Why can't they just clear the backlogs in order and keep moving dates.
