our 140 is approved
and 485 message has been changed to .. that they sent the case to the local INS for scheduling interview...."

is this normal or would there be any problem...?

Generally 20% of the cases go through interview. They will want to see your employment letter, original paystubs and some other documents. It will be scheduled in next 2-3 months so you should be done with 485 by end of this year. Consider ur.self lucky :)

Congrats NJFLgc,

This is great news. TSC is defenitely doing a lot of things lately. I am guessing that they are holding of on FPs for more recent filers in order to conentrate on the older cases. Looks like approvals will come withing 6-8 months of FP. Thats what the trend looks like.

The only problem on my side is that I have been given some special treatment. I am a March 04 filer and last week TSC transferred my files to a local office in Miami. I-140 and 485 were transferred. 485 did not mention any interview either just said that local office will send me a written notice. My lawyers are also dubmfounded. Just keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that this is all part of their backlog reduction plan. Nothing more I can do at this point. I am waiting on my I-140 notice and hoping its an approval. Lets see.

Anyway, will keep everyone posted on my peculiar case.

Congrats, I think its a good thing that they are working on your 485 too. So another congrats.
