140 approved but only got 1 year H1B renewel! How to correct it?

I applied for 3-year H1B extension based on 140 approval. But the I-797 approval notice I received only has 1 year instead of 3 years. I think the VO didn't even read my forms. How can I correct it? Is there any specific form my employer should fill out? Or I can just ask my employer to write a letter to California Service Center asking for a correct approval notice? Same situation - I-140 approved but still got 1 hr H1 extension

I am in the same situation. I have an approved I-140 petition (EB3 India) and since the visa numbers are not available (per updated July bulletin), I should have received a 3 year H1 extension. But instead I got a 1 year H1 extension. Per my lawyer, even though visa numbers were not available thus making me eligible for the 3 year extension, the USCIS officer at his discretion can issue a 1 year extension and there is no appeal in such cases.

Has anyone else faced a similar issue? Please share your experience or if you have any suggestions to rectify this situation. Thanks.
