140 approved and 6+ months in 485 do i need ead for ac21?

I have a h1 with current employer and also approved 140 and 485(6+months)
do i need an ead to use ac21 and switch employers?

yes, you need ead if you're switching employers, otherwise you good with h1 only

Thank you ix470001 - what happens if i resign/get fired/get layed off?

I applied for EAD this week.
What happens if i get layed off/fired/resign?(things are not pretty at work)
Do I have to leave the country or can I just sit at home until i get an ead?
