140 approval notice???

does anyone know if we are allowed by law to get a copy of the I-140 approval notice. If one is planning to change employer after the I-140 approval is it advisable to have the approval notice in your hands. What if the employer/lawyer refuse to hand it over to you?

I-140 is employer's petition so they have complete right to keep it.

There is a situation when I-140 is approved and I-485 is pending for more than 180 days then, in my opinion, you do need to have the approval with you but now even this particular situation is in limbo after the new memorandum is out
