140/485 issue, needs your opinion

My employer is just filing 140 and he is not filing 485 concurrently from VSC.
I talked to few friends/lawyers they said early 2005, eb2/eb3 categories may retrogress, considering this, What should I do?
Here are my options....
#1 I have a employment letter from my employer and 140 receipt notice, should I file 485 on my own? what happens if RFE comes?
#2 Should I find pre-approved LC and file 140/485 concurrently from a new employer?
#3 stay with the current employer and wait for 140 approval.

Any inputs would be appreciated. Thanks!
 
You can go ahead and file the I-485 on your own. You do not need to wait for the company to do it. The I-485 belongs to you anyways.
Yes you want to keep them processing your I-140.
