Concurrent means you can file 485 with pending 140. earlier you had to get your 140 approved and then you were allowed to file 485.

I was right at the first instant. Everyone knows concurrent means filing 140/485 together and previously we need to have 140 to get approved for filing 485.
His question was to see if he needs to see 485 processing times for his 140 petition. For that, my reply was look for 140 processing times for 140 petition and 485 processing times for 485 petition.

i asked because there have been a few concurrent approvals of 140 and 485...

You are right some cases are being approved concurrently. Majority of them are being approved per ND for I-140. Most of them from mid 2003 are seeing concurrent approvals.
