11/28/01 filer... Q on EAD renewal

Seen your posts reg. the renewals.

My EAD is expiring on 01/10/03. I still did not apply for my renewal. I am still on H-1. Do I need to go for the renewal at all??? Why not be on H-1 until final approval????
