1 week overlap between new and old job ok?

Hi everyone,
Two questions about changing employers using AC21
1. Can there be an overlap of 1 week between the jobs. For eg: old job ends Mar 10 and new one begins Mar 3rd? Will it violate terms of either H1B or EAD?
2. What do you have to do to switch from H1B to EAD. Am I supposed to notify USCIS?

I am not sure about H1B but for EAD it shouldn't be a problem.
You don't have to notify USCIS about changing to an EAD. Just let
HR know that you want to move from HIb to EAD and they will ask
you for a copy of your EAD. I am not sure if there's a form to fill out
because I didn't personally fill out any forms. You can ask HR about that
and they should know.
