I'm not sure why i'm posting this, since my companies lawyer has pretty much declared "sucks to be you".
My 1 year OPT expires at the end of July. I thought the 17 month STEM extension was not available to be because my employer is not part of E-Verify. Now I'm finding out that they are required to join E-Verify (as a federal employer), and will have the system in place at the end of August (they can't roll it out in the time I have left).
A miss is as good as a mile I suppose, but the whole thing seems cosmically cynical to me. Just one bloody month means I can't get this extension
