Friends,

Is it true that Main applicant gets RFE ( May be for EVL) and his status changes to RFE , dependents still remain on FP Recieved or FP Sent Status. and when RFE gets approved all the cases (Main + Dependents) move to Approved status.

If this hypothesis is true then 1 RFE Case means approx. total of 3 cases got assigned. And if this is true then as per Kashmir's Status Table we might see December starting soon as Ratio for november is close to 1:2 ( RFE Sent + RFE Rec) : ( FP Sent + FP Rec+Appl Recv).

What you guys think.

( The whole above calculation goes wrong if RFE for main turns out to be status change for all dependent to RFE also)

hey this is the INS we are talking about here, where the rule is that there are no rules.

There is no co-relation between primary and secondary applicants getting processed together, which is not to say that they don't but there have been enough cases where the two get seperated and are processed independently. In which case the above assumption, turns out to be just that an assumption.

I don't think we should try to read too much into the nitty gritty of how INS classifies/works with regards to RFE/Cases touched, cause it is a setup for more heartache. Besides who knows if the case status is updated frequently or accurately enough. So when you follow the stats, refer to the # of RFE's only as cases touched. But then that is just my 2 cents!
