downgrading pending 485

Hi, My priority date is eb2 2011 and is current in oct 2020 bulletin, my company was about to apply 140 in eb3 but since my pd is current in eb2 now , they are planning to stop applying for eb3. Is it good idea to ask them to apply 140 in eb3 also, and downgrade pending 485 (applied in eb2) if...
