vkt, i have mailed my attorney about this, he said as long as i don't get any official notice of being granted LPR and have a valid advance parole i can travel using the AP. i am planning to get another opinion. i will share it here as well.

max2k1, do we need the approval letter to go for stamping at the local center... i am supposed to leave monday and am sure i will not have the approval notice by then. will they look at the online status for stamping. thanks.

source, i am not sure if me taking the infopass in the morning made any difference, but if u have time, give it a shot, atleast u can ask them about name and security check status. that was the main reason i went. looks like the trend is PD June 02 ... lot of approvals around this time. good...

My PD is current (eb3 India 06/2002), i may have to travel on a business trip next week, i have approved AP valid till 08. will it be OK to travel now. what happens if 485 is approved while out of the country.

shas123, i am in the same boat. i am still not sure if i should or should not file. i was thinking about waiting till like june 15th and see how fast they start approving the cases and then see what to do.

Only after june 1st i was told that they will start approving only after june 1st... i kinda agree, since the dates moved for june bulletin... also looks like people with PD in 2002 (EB3) were getting RFE's last month, so i am guessing they were pre-processing the cases even before the date...

does anyone know how long will they take before approving the cases... any past experience please share...
