That sounds very intimidating.
I suppose most people called because they have to, not just for checking one\'s status not long after filing. If the first call worked, they would not have called the second or third time. Many people would not have called if the INS approved all the case within...
In this case,it lookes like countries do not make any difference since I\'m from Asia.
Many people from the same place have been approved earlier. I guess for all the people who filed during that period might have got receipts with the same processing time. How funny, most of us had our FP done...
Saw a previous posting mentioned that on earlier applicants\'receipts, it says 450 days for I485 processing. Mine (ND March, 2001) actually says 560 to 590 (How awful!). Wonder whether the processing time differentiates each case from the time of filing.
Hi, Venati
I saw in your previous posting that you checked with FBI recently and then checked back with INS to find out that they finally received your FP results. I have called FBI again about my FP today (since the INS officer sounded like they had not received my FP done in May last year)...
It seems that "waiting for information from froeign consulate" is an answer that no one ha
I was told yesterday when talking to an officer that they have not got all the information for my case yet because some information need to be obtained from one\'s home country and some agencies respond...
So many with ND April, May, even June of 2001 have been approved based on one of the postings here. How many March NDs (2001) left out there?
Mine: PD July 1999, ND March 16, 2001, FP May 2001
Has anyone who talked to the officers at the INS been given the same answer about why some cases take longer than others. I talked to an officer today and she asked when my fingerprint was done. I told her that it was done in May last year. Then I was told that they haven\'t got all the...
While I-485 is pending, can my dependant apply for AP for travel while I, as the primary applicant, stays on H1? (we have considered other options, such as the dependant can apply for H4 each time since in my home country H4 visas are only issued with one entry). I could apply for EAD. But I do...
Is it OK to apply both H1 visa stamp and AP? I have to go back to my home country to apply H4 for my family. The consular is very... Friends warned that if this consular wanted to do something, he might revoke one\'s H1 visa since he already rejected my family twice unreasonably and insisted I...

Wasn\'t my second post clear enough to you guys? Wasn\'t it clear to you why I had posted the question on this board first and why I said each individual had a different situation ( People may call the INS about the same thing for different reasons). For Radek: people who have gone...

Thank you for your information. I posted on this board first is for the hope to get some information here first and then decide when or whether to call the INS. Everyone\'s situation is different. To you, this question may not be a big issue, but to other people, it could be very...

It\'s quite possible that the consulate will reject your family again even though you will have H1 status. My family have been rejected twice for H4 visas. The consular did not even review any of our legal documents and insisted that I should go back to apply for them. I do not know...
