no you cannot ....they are very particular about that use EAD to work only in the same situation as before

well my husband quit his job the very day he got his GC... and he is not worried as he found another one in a week with way better pay and half the work hrs...I guess even an officer would not have much to question when he sees the W2 for this year....

probably your security check that is the name check has not been completed

first and foremost stop bombarding us with your posts. your a # is only for uscis purpose and nothing else. for your college you need ssn # which u can apply as soon as u get your ead and that should suffice....
