I-485 was received after stamping?:
I got a new message from USCIS, two weeks after interview/stamping, that my I-485 was received for processing... the same message I got when my I-485 was received originally.
Any idea?
Hey guys,
My passport was stamped after an interview in the San Jose office two weeks ago.
Now, I got a message CIS through email saying that "your I-485 has been received in our office ... 660 days to approve..."
Any idea why would that happen?
No need for AC21 for the acquisition - the aquiring company is a "successor in interest", and took full responsibility for the company assets and employees.
The lawyer mentioned that the change in my title *may* require AC21, but we made no proactive attempt to send a letter.
The officer...
First,
I want to acknowledge everyone in this forum. This is a true home for all of us.
Our passports have been stamped today at the San Jose office.
My case is pretty straight forward, except that my company was acquired by a different company and I was promoted. According to the (very...
I have an interview next week, and I was wondering whether I should bring my 3-month old baby with us. My lawyer says that it provides a "humane" aspect to the interview, but at the same token she might start crying...
Any thoughts?
FYI,
Just received the interview letter...
I have received the interview letter in: Jan 31st 2005
The interview is scheduled for: Feb 24th 2005
Transfer date (per online message): Nov 11th 2004
AOS RD: August 2004
I believe that any online notice from INS should follow with a written notice. I suggest that you'll investigate why you haven't received one, as it may indicate that there's a problem with your registered address at the INS.
485 was filed on Aug 2004.
I received a "transfer for an interview" letter on the beginning of Nov 2004.
I have not received the invitation to an interview yet, though.
I noticed that some people receive an interview letter shortly after the transfer, and some wait for over 4 months.
I'm currently waiting for over 2 months (San Jose office), I wonder what is your experience.
My attorney says that the date of the actual interview in the district office is...
My case was transferred 2 months ago to the San Jose office, but I still haven't received the interview letter. My address has changed in the process (we did notify the INS on the change). Is 2 months a reasonable interval? How longer should I wait before making an inquery?
Guys,
I just received an email notification from USCIS that my case is transferred to the San Jose office. There is no apparent reason for that (no criminal background or out-of-status). My case is pretty straightforward except that my company was acquired by a successor of interest.
I am...
We called the office and they said that a copy should be fine.
Eitherway, we have received the notice today. For all of you guys who don't wait for FP, here's the timeline:
FP notice date: Sep 13, 2004.
FP notice online notification: Sep 17, 2004
The stamp on the envelope: Sep 27, 2004...
According to online message, the FP notices were sent on Sep 17.
The lawyer received the notices only today (Sep 28) and the meeting is tomorrow.
The lawyer sent me PDF copies of the notices which I will print. Question is whether I'll be able to get fingerprinted without any...
