I have applied in July 2017 (with JULY 2017 priority date) and I got only I-797C, Notice of action . Are we supposed to get some other notification? I called USCIS two months ago and they told me that I did not need to do anything else.

I called the number that was on I-797C. (+1-800-375-5283) . I do not know if it is the same number on your I-797C.

You can call them. That's what I did. And if you do. Just let us know what did you ask and what did they say. But I am sure that they will say that they have received your application and if they need something else they will contact you.

What did I just read? No, no. I do not think this i a good idea. I suggest move to a smaller, cheaper city until you get back on your feet and later move to New York. Why di you move to New York in the first place? And what about affidavit of support?

I think that from now and on Visa bulletin cut off will continue only with 1500-2000 Case numbers. I'm talking only about EU. This is my opinion.
