Also as an afterthought with PERM coming into the pictiure can I still file for extension of 7th yr H1 if they adjudicate ......Also my wife just got her green card this year.don't think she'll be a citizen in another 2 yrs....So, i won;t be able to do that .will I?? :confused:

Hi OOZ............YOU CAN BE ON H(H1 OR H4) for 6 yrs total .being on either one of those starts the clock .........So i guess if your wife has had 2 yrs of h1 plus 2 yrs of h4 ...then she can get another 2 yrs worth of H1 only !!you cannot get another 6 yrs.......tho you might b able to get a...

Thanks ginnu for your reply. sent the DS-156 alongwith the Renewed I539 wich says that the h4 has been extended till 2007 and has an I-94 at the bottom valid from Mar'2004 till feb 2007......... hope this will help clear up the confusion......Pls share your thoughts in light of these...
