Spoke to my lawyer Was told INS has lost my file. He was told to resend a new 485 application with original signatures. He does not know if they have my medical or that needs to be redone..

Spoke to an IIO today. Told that "We have requested for a file from another office on 11/9. Please wait". Have no idea what file is required from where. Anybody in similar situation. Please advise

Hi Nov2000NYC My ND is also 11/13/00. No RFE. Still waiting. Spoke to IIO on 9/6, 9/21 and 10/25. Was told that they cannot tell me if case was assigned or not. It is "Pending Decision". Hoping for the best. Good Luck.

Spoke to IIO.. Spoke to an IIO today. ND 11/00. Did not give any info - "Can not tell you if case has been assigned... Donot know how long it will take.. No idea why the delay.. you can call when ever you like.." God please help..

"In the process of being assigned.." On 9/6 was told that case would be assigned in 7-10 days. On 9/21 - not yet assigned. My lawyer called on 10/12 and was told that it is in the process of being assigned.. Still waiting..

Secret.. It takes about 45 minutes of Redial + 20 minutes on on-hold before you can speak to an IIO..

I called on 9/6 & 9/21. Do not know if I should call again. Response on 9/6 was that it would be assigned in 7-10 days. On 9/21 - It is not yet assigned.. Any advise folks.. ND 11/00 Regards

Congrats Congrats void. Thanks for your wishes. I spoke to an IIO on 9/6 & 9/21. On 9/6 I was told that my case is likely to be assigned in the next 7-10 days. On 9/21 I was not the case is not assigned as yet. I do not know if & when I should call again. Regards, Rishi

Need not be. I assumed that my case was assigned too as another person on this portal who had the same ND etc had posted that an IIO told him that his case was assigned. I called INS last week and was told that my case is likely to be assigned soon.. Good Luck..
