I've read about some people on China run into similar problems.. Here is one thing a few of them did..
Use your H1 (if not cancelled) to return to the US. But before you do this, speak to the consulate and see if they will mail the IV once issued to you in the US.. You can pre-pay fedex...
The consulate wants to be sure that the kid is a US citizen because if he is not, then they need to issue him an IV so that he can accompany you. They feel that you may be mistaken [if your kid was a non-us citizen] that he did not need an IV and just want to verify the facts so that they do not...
First off.. Congrats Mainer.. A long journey from our LC days has ended..
While in this case Mr Dave mistakenly wrote customs for immigration, only the choicest expletives can be used for the custom officials as well.. On my trip, I had several asking me if I carried dollars or pounds and...
CP has no portability.. If you insist on doing CP, you will have to restart from the beginning.. from the labor stage..
On the otherhand, AC21 gives AOS people some portability. With no proper regulations out, a good lawyer could help you sucessfully complete your GC process thru a 485.
Your signature also makes it to the plastic.. On the back of the card in the secure strip it appears alongside your photo and A#..
I dont know if it comes from the signed photo or the form.. I would guess from the photo but we'll find out soon enough.. Let us know when you get the card ...
It should be yes. However, you really dont need the 9003 form. Mumbai consulate will toss it into the wastepaper basket.. Dont print it and save a tree :D
Just give up already...

I have been viewing your numerous posts on this board and must say that you are simply wasting your energy. You simply wont get the kind of support you need from this bunch.
While in labor, I tried to galvanise some support. When the DOL go from approving...
Now this is a different situation.. If you are working abroad for a US based company (even better if its the same one who sponsored u) then you can easily stay abroad for 2 yrs on a re-entry permit.
The better news is that u can even (under certain circumstances) files a N600 and have this...
Re: Pikachu Pokemon / Moulin Rouge
You remember !! yeah i got my gc in aug 2002 via cp in mumbai. Interview 8/19, DOE 9/14, Plastic 10/12 .. Have u looked at the DOL board lately ? The f***ers at Boston DOL clear application in 10 - 15 days from RD.
Re: Waiting for Plastic Card
Congrats Yummy_k !! You probably dont recognize me but I hope u remember me.. I'm your old friend (pika) from the boston dol days !!!
More importantly, you will be appearing for the CP interview with the knowledge that you will not be having indefinate employment with the sponsor. Instead of having to deal with a misrepresentation that may haunt you later on in life, its best if you use the portability provided by the law when...
>>1. When departing in airport, will my I-94 be taken off from my passport in airline check-in counter?
Yes
>>2. Actually my I-94 in passport has expired last month, but I have a new I-94 in my H1B transfer approval. Do I need to detach the new I-94 from the approval notice and attach it to...
I think the transcript is only a compact version of your filed 1040. If you are concerned about it, take a copy of your bank statement that shows that the IRS collected the money.
While the fact that he wasn't paid on bench for 2 weeks in October will probably not matter, what may cause a problem is such payroll policies on part of his employer.
The employer promises to pay the salary on the LC under *any* circumstances, bench or not. The consulate should not doubt...
Officially, the INS Vermont time is Feb 22 2002... Since your friends date is much later than this, there isn't much he can do. No congressman/senator will touch the case !!
At most he can call the INS and speak to an IIO.. Thankfully he can apply for 485 and sit tight until they are approved.
