Is your FP done ? if so when ? Based on the new NSC policy as per murthy's
web site NSC should approve soon after fingerprints.
Does anyone know if NSC is delaying Fingerprint till case is ready to be processed ?

It had happened to me. As per company lawyer 1'st RFE was for H1 approvals
and 2'nd RFE was for employment letter. My case was approved a few days
after 2'nd rfe response was received by USCIS.
Also keep in mind that ..sometimes uscis online system keeps indicating that another RFE is sent...
As Ginnu suggested mine had no "Return service requested" stamp on it. In fact there was no mention of Nebraska Service Center. . Looked like ordinary letter.
However the change of address confirmation letter had the grand USCIS logo, etc and also the "Return Service requested" stamp...
I got my passport stamped in portland, Oregon. Based on the postings
here it seems the delay is with the service center. Once you launch
a written enquiry they will reply you the status of the card.
When you enquire with local CIS office they will tell you whether they
mailed your package...
Yeah. It's frustrating to wait for the plastic cards for more than 6 months. People in other service centers are getting it within few weeks of stamping.
I got my passport stamped in oct 25, 2004 and got my card a few days back.
You can do any/all of the follwing..
1. Call the 800 number...
I received my PR card yesterday (4/4/05).
Here are the details..
RD 7/02
AD 9/30/04
SD 10/25/2004
CO 03/30/05
Some observations..
I had filed AR 11 immediately after my move..but had not called the customer service. So I called up customer service on 3/30 to update my address. The...
Anyone tried getting DL at Denver/Boulder DMV with I-551 stamp ?
Do they give the DL only upto the I-551 stamp validity ? or
for full period of 5 years.
It's been 5 months that I got my passport stamped but there's no
sign of plastic card.
NSC sucks..NSC is ...(can't put it in words)...
The only guidelines that we have now are those on the USCIS web page
(tempo posted the link)
If more concrete guidelines are desired..and if it does come out..then per
"common sense" it will be detrimental to emp based GC holders.
Majority people I know changed jobs a few months after...
I like your post. Probably a "post Green Card job change" USCIS memo will settle all flame wars. The GC process has made slaves out of smart people..freedom cannot be tolerated!
If the "post green card job change" memo really comes up them many on this board will start having nightmares till...
There is no effect of filing AR11 on 485 approval. Your address is only
a technical detail..as per my lawyer and other imm lawyers. The only possiblity is the approval notice/plastic may go to old address and take a while to reach your new address.
Your status is intact is "AOS Pending" till approval. You may not be able to work between the h1 expiry and the ead approval period.
Check with you lawyer/company lawyer.

Once you get your FP done your case is "ready for approval". You can
request re-scheduling the FP and buy some time.
As you filed 485 in sep 04 the chances of getting approved soon are slim..but there are cases where people got approved way before the normal processing time. Well this was a...
NSC sucks!
My friend & family received their plastic cards within 4 weeks of stamping.
Also their cases took about 1 year 3 months to be approved by VSC.
grg2005 et al.
Have any of you changed job ? Also in '02 I got FP 2 months after I filed 485 ..but my wife hasn't received FP notice...
By Law you can get deported if you don't submit AR11 within 10 days of moving. But I never heard of anyone getting deported because of this.
That one missing AR11 is not a problem as long as you filed AR11 with your CURRENT address.
My friend (and his family) got their plastic cards in 4 weeks. Their cases were approved by VSC.
Regarding NSC..I think we have to be happy that our cases were approved.
NSC has proved to be first in inefficiency. Keep it up NSC!
I was in similar situation..and took transit visa for my wife. Basically her
H4 is not valid and so she needs to use AP (hence transit visa for germany
is needed).
It is a different thing that nobody in germany may realize her H4 is no longer valid..But why take a chance ?
Thanks
