Just to clarify. One can get three year extensions only after the I-140 is approved. In my case CSC is taking 5 months to approve I-140's, so I am stuck getting the 8th year extension, and not a 3 year extension.

perm_faq: I think that one cannot get 3-year extenstions until the I-140 is approved. My I-140 got filed a couple of days ago, and the lawyers are also filing for my 8th year extension. Regards, Emil
