It is hard to say. According to the DMV website it is for the duration of your approval notice. My wife and I had the H1 and H4 approval notice that expire May '06, and due to what was mentioned on the webpage was expecting them to give the drivers license till...
Hi arouncoumar!
Thanks. I was hoping that my I-140 would have got approved before the H1-B, so that we can request that it be issued for 3 years. I also doubt that it can be done after the fact. But, worth a try. Will ask teh lawyer today.
Regards,
Emil
I-140 Approved.
Hello!
Got the transfer notice from CSC to TSC on the 21st of Mar.
Strange Monday. Got an email early morning (4.15 a.m. PST) saying that my I-140 has been received for processing and the usual 400 to 450 days to process, etc.
Exactly 6 hours later (10.15 a.m.), got an...
I agree with juntha. I was one of the first to post on this site about the transfer, and my date is also around the 1st of Feb. I do understand that posting time verses the notice time.

Hello!
My I-140 was filed at the CSC at the end of Jan. '06. I just got the following update emailed to me. I work at a University in the Los Angeles county.
Thanks in advance,
Emil

Hello!
My I-140 was filed at the CSC at the end of Jan. '06. I do apologize as it is not a Sep. '05 case, but this tread is active, and I visit at least a couple times a day. I just got the following update emailed to me. I work at a University in the Los Angeles county.
Thanks...
Just to clarify. One can get three year extensions only after the I-140 is approved. In my case CSC is taking 5 months to approve I-140's, so I am stuck getting the 8th year extension, and not a 3 year extension.
perm_faq:
I think that one cannot get 3-year extenstions until the I-140 is approved. My I-140 got filed a couple of days ago, and the lawyers are also filing for my 8th year extension.

LC Approved
Hello!
Heard from the lawyer last evening that he has received my approved Labor Certification. I was waiting for them to fax me a copy so that I can post more details.
Good luck to everyone.

Emil
Hi s_chicago!
Still waiting. No RFE at state. Was transfered to DOL (end Sep 2004) just before boxes transfered to DBEC. Replied to 45-Day letter mid-Feb.

Emil
Hello sunofeast_GC!
Okay. I guess that the query casued the timeframes to change. So, I really don't know the answer to your original question. Over to the gurus.
Btw, congratulations on the approval.

Emil
Hello sunofeast_GC!
Something does not sound right. My PD is mid-Dec '03, and CA EDD said that they transfered my case to DOL end of Sep. '04. So, the timeframes are about the same and mine was a CA-RIR-EB3 as well. Therefore, it seems like your filing with EDD was in Dec. '03 and that would...
Nope!
My thoughts are the following possibilities:
- CSC mistakenly thought it was a premium processing
- Lawyers accidently paid the extra $1,000 (because I didn't)
- As I am from Sri Lanka, there was a press release that due to the Tsunami that certain requests are expedited, and this...

Hello!
My receive date for the 7th year extension was 11th of Feb, and it was approved on the 28th of Feb. I am not complaining, but how is this happening?

Emil
Hello!
This is what I was told from someone who does taxes for a lot of people when she looked it up.
