I understand AC21, but that has to do with H1B holders. But do you know or have you ever heard of the case of J1 holder doing the same procedure (I140 approval and I-485 pending and EAD approval)? David

I heard it depends on how soon you changed your job after I-485 receipt notice. I was told that it is OK as long as it is 180 days after the receipt notice. It seems this is the new law, but I am not sure when it was effective. David
