BTW, the date for "January 2001 - My I-485 transferred to the local office in Chicago" is wrong. It should read January 2002. Nevertheless, my case spent 1 year and 8 months in the local BCIS office after the transfer.
There were no detailed questions about my job duties (they were listed on the employment letter). Just to describe a general picture how it came that my employer got changed.
The officer did compare duties from both companies.
My I-485 AC21-based just got approved today (October 2).
I-140 applied for and approved in 2000 by my original sponsoring company.
October 2000 - Applied for I-485 in NSC
April 2001 - First FP
January 2001 - My I-485 transferred to the local office in Chicago
February 2002 - Laid off by...
I changed jobs using AC21.
My new job is similar, but not identical.
Both old and new jobs are in the same ONET job family - Computer & Mathematical.
The old job was 15-1081.00 Network Systems and Data Communications Analyst
