My case has been transferred to Chicago local office also. I got my AP from local; my attorney also filed my EAD with local office. We did not receive a receipt notice from local office. MY attorney got the cashed check from local office though - that might be the only evidence.
Thanks for the info and sorry to hear it.
It is very unfortunate for the case to be transferred to the local - I think. It is like you can never find it out what is going on anymore. Good luck to your spouse and every one of us waiting in Chicago!
Sorry, gc_for_spouse. I guess that I missed the hair pulling part. :-)
I was too frustrated myself. Do you mind to share on how you have contacted the congressman's office? I am kind of willing to try anything at this point.
My case is employment based and still get trasferred for some...
Congratulations, gc_for_spouse!
You mentioned that you have contacted congressman's office. Which one did you contact and how does it work? I have been waited for over 600 days and become really stressed out. Thank you for any info.
It seems as all of us are suffering a lot due to transferring to Chicago local office. I saw that in immigration.com, people are signing up for backlog in NSC or other center. How about us? I guess that there is nothing that we can do, right?
:(
NETELECTRONIC, my friend's receipt date is actually in 2000 and her case has been transferred in 3/2002. Sorry for the mistake, but he is still waiting.
:(
:( I know that you are probably right on this. What a luck with us. One of my friends has been transferred in 3/02 and receipt date was in 2001 sometimes and still did not get the interview letter yet.
Couple of quick questions:
1. Did you go to the local office and inquiry your transfer during the waiting time?
2. Did you contact local congressman or senator?
3. During the interview, did the officer question a lot about the job transfer?
4. Is your case employment based or family based...
My case has been transferred to Chicago local office also. My attorney told me that both EAD and AP must be applied in the local office now. AP took around 30 days to get response. They will mail you a notice to pick it up when it is ready.
Hopefully, that is helpful.
Lcl_Chi_wait,
You mentioned that “we rcvd. call for interview”. What do you mean by that? You received a phone call or you received a letter in the mail about the interview? Please clarify.
