One of my school friends filed for I-485 three months ago and got a receipt notice a two weeks ago. The strange thing is that short after that, he got an INS request letter for FP. That is only 4-5 months after he filed for I-485. Is this normal or what!!!! Does that mean his application...

Is there anyway I can call the INS to see what is going on with my application even though I do not have a receipt yet! will they let me know the status of my application without an LIN number? Thanks again

To RAasylee Hey RA asylee Which state did your brother send the aplication in from and to which service center! It is a very fast reponse time in 3 days. I have sent mine in to Nebraska SC 3 months ago and got nothing back yet.
