    OCI - Chicago Tracker

OCI Process complete I picked up our OCI booklets and had our passports canceled at the consulate. The drop off/pick up was quick and straightforward. This was the easy part- as I'm sure a lot of folks know. Getting the OCI was the complicated part. Here is a timeline: 12-Nov-2008: Mailed OCI...

    OCI Application questions

Thanks for your response. And yes, I'm aware that procedures differ from consulate to consulate. I initially posted this question in the Chicago tracker - got no response so I decided to post it in the main thread.

    Filed for Wife's I-130

I had a question for you on the I-130 you filed: Would you know where to check for processing times for I-130 ? Maybe I'm missing something but I could not find the I-130 processing times on the USCIS's site. Is this form processed at Field office level or Service Center level or perhaps even...

SAVED OCI FORM - reprint & questions

Yeah, that's exactly what I was trying to decipher. You never know when these forms change and there is a potential loss of 3 months if completed incorrectly. To confirm the response to Q16 (Does application country permit some form of dual citizenship....) - that should be Yes ? TIA

Goofup while printing- re-registration required ?

Based on the info provided in the OCI checklist sticky post- Part A is fillable online (not sure about the saving into HTML/PDF doc) and Part B is to be completed by hand (short of using an old fashioned typewriter :D)

Goofup while printing- re-registration required ?

Cool! Yes, that's exactly what I needed. I guess I can just make another set since the information entered in the form is accurate.

Goofup while printing- re-registration required ?

Hello all....an OCI newbie here. Just getting started with this and have come to the realization that a potentially short and simple process has been turned into a very convoluted one. I do have a question for those that have already submitted their application. This may or may not be an issue...

    Chicago IL - N-400 Timeline

Congratulations on the interview letter. Since you live that far south- I would recommend driving in the night before and staying near downtown overnight. Even with your interview time at 10:25 am, you still have 200 miles to cover. Just my recommendation. As for parking- there is a parking...

    Chicago IL - N-400 Timeline

Yes, both my spouse and I had exactly the same timeline- the only difference was the IO in each of our cases as we were interviewed separately. And yes, we had the option of using the green piece of paper to request oath together and we used that option. Hope that helps.
