    Where Is My Gc Card?

Don\'t worry It\'s a matter of luck. You can get your card as soon as 15 days from date of entry, however it may take up to 10 months. Your temporary stamp is valid for 12 months, and while it may be very inconvenient and frustrating even if you don\'t get it then you can get your passport...

CP completed - Bypassed NVC - Do I need to send a letter to NVC?

I completed successfully my CP! Even though the Service Center sent my file directly to the NVC, the consulate agreed to process directly my case (I-140 + I-824). Do I need to send a letter to the NVC telling them that my case was approved directly at consular post? Thank you for your input...

    switching before consular processing completes

I agree I agree with ekGCChahiye. Some lawyers recommending staying for one year, others say 3 months is sufficient. I personally would not leave before 6 months. Good luck.

    I140 AD:2/13/02 at VSC - Case hasn\'t Reached/Created at NVC - Is this normal?

INS needs to get the file back from NVC when CP to AOS I have learned a couple of things about the CP to AOS process. If your file was sent to NVC for CP, IT NEEDS TO BE RETURNED TO THE INS for AOS processing. The good news is that this is usually easier and faster than the other way around...

    I140 AD:2/13/02 at VSC - Case hasn\'t Reached/Created at NVC - Is this normal?

In the same boat - or worse My case was approved in early February. The TSC says they sent cabled it the same day of the approval. However, NVC has not received it. Then TSC said they "might" have sent the cable/file directly to the consulate (as if that would do me any good...)...

Can I change back to AOS after I file I824?

Can I change back to AOS after I file I824? The TSC is a disaster. I filed I140 under CP, but got approved, in error, under AOS. I filed I824 (while requesting that the incorrect approval be corrected back in Nov 01) and got approved. Now the I824 got approved (early Feb 02) but NVC never...

    NVC Front log tracker

    >40 days since TSC approved / NVC has received nothing yet... So if they haven\' received it after >50 days what to do? I called TSC and they said they had cabled the approval back in early February, today March 25th, NVC says they have not received it. Moreover, they actually did a...

    NVC Front log tracker

My case hasn\'t reached NVC either My case was approved at TSC on Feb 11, and hasn\'t reached NVC yet (posting date of this message March 25th) TSC says they actually cabled it the same day, NVC says they never received it... TSC is really a dump. My lawyer says I shouldn\'t refile I824...

I140 AD in Jan/02 and NVC Dates

Same here I applied at TSC for CP and they approved AOS (in error of course) I thereafter filed I824, which was approved within 2 1/2 months, however it has been 45 days since the approval and the NVC has NOT received my case. I called TSC and the IIO told me the case had been sent on February...

I140 AD in Jan/02 and NVC Dates

Times from Service Center to NVC? Can anyone tell me how long it takes the NVC to get case from Service Centers? I assume that NSC, CSC, VSC are a bit faster, and TSC is as always lagging far behind. As of today the NVC has not received my case from the INS even though it has been more than...

    Case created!!!NVC

Me neither My case was approved on February 20, 2002, Texas Service Center, and NVC has NOT received my case. Most cases are received by NVC within one to two weeks at most, look at CPTRACKER.com to get an idea and also at these d-boards. Only thing you can do is wait and wait some more. You...

Which would be quicker 485 or CP...from TX

Same here but to no avail RKAD: TSC approved my I140 petition (in ERROR) under AOS instead of CP back in early NOV 2001, we did exactly the same thing, filed I824 (which was approved in February 2002. TSC never corrected the I140 AND never cabled the NVC. Instead they said they had sent a...

How long to stay with the current company after getting GC with CP?

No Even though it\'s ridiculous there is a double standard, if you go through I485 you can change after 180 days, if you go through CP you have to wait... the usual concensus is 12 months with the sponsoring company although some lawyers say 6 months is sufficient. At the end of the day that...

Urgent PLEASE - Sample Employment Letter

I would be most appreciative if you could post a link to a sample employment letter for Consular Processing. I\'ve been told that the AOS requirements for the letter differ somewhat from the CP requirements, but I don\'t if its true. Please post a sample employment letter. Thanks!
