Thanks for the response. I talked to my Attorney, he says its a little risky to travel outside US close to 6 months (180 days). He is asking me to cut it short by a week or two.

We got our passports stamped after approval. My wife needs to visit India for 6 months. Is it safe to travel for 6 months outside US with the GC? Do I need to file a re-entry permit for 6 months visit? Thanks.

I didn't do anything special. I think my response to the AP RFE could have triggered my approval.
