Do they have some centers or free housing for asylum seekers in USA? Since you can't work for 150 days while waiting for asylum application approval, how are you supposed to support yourself?

Hi. I'm trying to get a job from USA as a programmer. Is H1B my only chance or can I apply other VISAs also? The problem is that I don't have Bachelors degree, but have 2-3 years of work experience, so I'm not eligible for H1B. I heard that with some VISAs only 3 months of work experience...
