for gurus here: Is it possible that due so much back log of aug,sep and now oct that vsc will consider old cases first instead of going "current" again. I think it happened in the past that they use to lag for several months?

If your case is approved while you are gone then you can stamp anytime , as far as I know. Also keep in mind that It is mentioned in AP that if 485 denied then it may not be possible to enter and I guess you can appeal from outside US.
