In my knowledge, you can use AP only for the reason specified in the application. Usually the reason specified is to visit Home Country in emergency. I don't think it's a good idea to disregard such laws and go on a cruise. I am NOT an attorney. So please don't consider this legal advise.

Why would a copy of the driver's license be required ? The BCIS never requires it. I applied for (and was approved) the EAD without any copy of driver's license.
