thank you all of you ... first time I called was around Oct 5-10 and was told that my file was assigned last week then wife got RFE for medical ... which we replied back by Nov end. Then started following up with lawyer to follow up with INS ... Jan end was told that my file has come back...

Just checked the status online. The case has been approved for both my wife and myself. Wife had got RFE for medical which was received by INS by end of Nov. So good luck to all of you waiting out there ....

on the new immigration.gov, the message no longer says that it will take additional 540 days to process the RFE response, instead it reads: On November XX, 2002, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. It is taking between 365 and 540 days for us to process this...

INS says 540 additional days (as on the status message) after the receipt of the response :(

Ha ... I case is still under 'Review' since 5th of Oct 2002, subsequently was told my files came back from India ... but no decision yet :(

EAD approved on 6th and AP on 7th, for both my wife and myself. RD 12/17 N/D 1/4 EAC0307151&&&&

AP also approved I checked my status today and found that AP for both my wife and myself had been approved.

thats the same range I analyzed. :-)

Here is the update to the statistics I had posted on Jan 8. From the sample of 1000 EAC's which I analyzed, 242 were 485's. Approved were 130. There have been 11 more approvals after Jan 8, out of which 6 were on or after Jan 27. Couldn't find any new transfer cases.
