We received the RFE together. Originally we did send the employment letter. At the end of July everybody got a employment RFE, maybe that is the reason or maybe because they issued an RFE for my wife they also asked for an employment letter
Me and my wife's case were approved on Nov 7th as per AVM

The same thing happened with me. Lawyer got my RFE which was for employment letter but my spouse's RFE was never received. Is the spouse also issued an RFE when they ask for an employment letter
Shrey why did they ask for current status for your spouse. Didn't you send that when you applied for...
I and my wife both got an RFE. I still don't know what, I am waiting for the letter. Both of us had birth certificates with no names in it which is quite usual in India and so we had sent 2 affidavits each from our parents.
You said you received a RFE for non availability of birth certificate...
First of all I think your lawyer is charging too much
You can download I-765 from the ins website, read the
instructions and submit the EAD yourself at the local website
or at NSC
You should apply for EAD so that when the centre processes your
application you have more than 90 days from the expiry becuse
if they fail to issue it you can get an interim EAD.
Some local INS issue it quite fast. Check on this forum whether
you should apply at NSC or the local INS...
How do you know when a case gets transferred for an
interview. Do you know from the AVM or do you get a notice in the mail. And Sorry I have no info about your particular situation

The message for me at the AVM went from "Finger prints were received ... and processing has resumed" to "I-485 was received on Sept 6th and it is taking 390-420 days for approval"
Does this mean anything ?
