It\'s true. I was there last week to apply for my AP, and was told
the same thing. However, if you can let them to believe your have
emergency, they can still take and approve your AP. Their web site
has stated such policy. I got my AP when I showed them my flight
tickets.

Same here. I-485 app was received by them on 4/30/01 (through
FedEx). Talked to an IIO, she couldn\'t find it in their
computer system. So which carrier did you use to send the
package? My lawyer used FedEx and didn\'t write the P.O.Box
on the package!

I do not know what address the lawyer used
to send the package. But I gusss he has
handled a lot of cases and shouldn\'t have
used the wrong address/POB.
The IIO didn\'t have any suggestion! She said
they are processing packages received around
May 23. She also said the FedEx...

I already talked to my lawyer. He is worrying too. It is not that
he is not willing to help, there is really not much he can do. And
I myself can\'t think of anything to ask him to do. (any suggetions?). Even an IIO is not able to do anything... I am sure INS received
my package...
I-485 was sent on 4/29 by FedEx, delivery confirmed
with signature on 4/30. Check not yet cashed.
Talked to an IIO today, she couldn\'t find any
info on the computer system based on my name/DOB.
(she did find my I-140). Anybody in the same boat
or know cases of 485 receipt taking so...
