My wife and I got our passports stamped at Boston. The INS officer kept the original I-485 approval notices along with the other stuff like photos, EAD, parole etc. Is that normal? Also how much time would it take to receive plastic cards after stamping? Any help would be appreciated

After a wait of little over a year, my wife and I finally got my 485-approved. Now to the next stage of waiting for the plastic cards to arrive :) RD: 8/30/2001 ND: 11/1/2001 FP: 1/18/2002 AD: 9/12/2002 I read some post on this forum that most August cases would be in line for RFE. Well...

RD: 8/30/01 ND: 11/1/01 EAC-02-027-5xxxx IIO mentioned that they are processing Aug 15th cases as of now and it would take upto 6 weeks for any update to my case. It worries me....Any insight to validate/invalidate IIO's claim?

Is it generally advisable to call IIO to inquire on your case i.e. Is it safe? Should I be informing my lawyer before calling? My RD is 8/30/01, so I dont know if I should just wait or call IIO just to check.
