Yes, they should issue you another EAD with category A05, sometimes they update your status ZSF0000000, so you can see that they ordered you a new card. You can check it, anyway I guess in the approval package you must see that they will send you a new EAD within 14 business days of your approval

Yes, it's in San Francisco. I went in person and they told me that's my case is at headquarters and they can't do anything

Ask them if your case is sent to the headquarter for further review, this might be the reason like in my case, I applied in 2014(SF), had interview in early 2014 and no decision yet!

I advise you to inquire about your case if you live nearby, at least you may feel some relief. I asked 3 times and they didn't give me any clear answer before they tell that it's in the headquarter

I made many inquiries after interview before they tell me that after one year. It's the case if they can't decide themselves they send it to the headquarters to give decision instead of them. Not positive or negative but makes the case take a long time.

24 months after interview in San Francisco but they told me that my case is sent to the headquarter in Washington D.C. I assume you may have a similar situation.

You should get a denial letter and go to DMV to apply for a DL. In California they accept for sure, I am not sure about the regulations of New York laws

you should get a denial letter from SSA that they can't issue you a SSN and you will be fine and you can get a DL, in which State do you live?
