Of course. What will be, will be ;)
But I'm asking if there are any written guidelines somewhere I can read, or does anyone have their own experience to share.
Hello,
My dad is supposed to have his medical exam next week, prior to a consulate interview for permanent residency. He is 70 years old, and has long since lost all records of immunizations in his childhood.
There is a lot of talk about "age appropriate" immunizations in the state website...
Interview & oath done
Had my interview in the Portland office. Everything went smoothly, the whole thing took less than 15 minutes.
At the end of the interview I got that wonderful "would you like to take the oath today?". I think it was luck, my interview started at 8:20AM, and I was third...
Interview letter arrived
I got a yellow letter asking me to bring my driver's license, then a week later (Aug 30th) I got the interview letter for Oct 4th.
I hope it goes smoothly and I get the same day oath ;)
FP = fingerprint
YL = Yellow letter - a letter telling you what documents you should bring to the interview.
DL = Driver's license. If you claimed you had traffic violations on your n-400, you might be asked to bring this along.
PP = Passport.
Hey guys,
I'm in the same boat as most of you. I didn't bother sending it via express mail, so there was about a week between sending it and their receipt date.
It didn't seem to affect my FP date though - which was pretty darn quick - scheduled for less than a month since my sent date...

I am working for the same employer, so that wasn't an issue. My lawyer gave the EVL letter to them anyway, even though he wasn't asked for it. The information he gave about previous employers was to validate work experience per the job Ad.
My Interview today
Had my interview today, wasn't approved because of a pending name check..
Summary of my experience:
1. Arrived 15 minutes before my interview time. There is a lot of parking over there. Met my attorney outside the building.
Got called in for interview on my wife's time...
1. I don't think you can get an earlier date. If they had an earlier opening, they would probably have given it to you.. You can always ask if you have an extreme case, but chances are that if you can't make it for your original date, they will give you a later one instead...

This may depend on when you filed I-485.
go to http://www.immigration.com/frame/nationalprfr.html , find your local district office, and see if they passed your filing date for I-485. If they did, then you probably have cause to inquire further.
