Looking at what Judge said, looks like Mr White screwed up the case.
It looks like everyone is a winner as of now.
1. People who did not win previously did want a redraw and they got it
2. People who 'won' on a broken system wanted go to courts and they got it
3. Mr White who wanted some publicity and he too got what he wanted.
Lets see what will happen...

Its typical that phone operators/ people who reply to your emails are not DOS or KCC employees, they are most probably contractors who know nothing about the process. Decisions are made by upper level people and it takes days or weeks to reach the people who in the bottom of the DOS hierarchy
its current for most of the countries if you are on EB2 or EB1 & no backlog, so my advice is make sure you let your employee know about this soon. OR get the best immigration lawyer today and seek advice, there is no time for you to waste..meet a lawyer on the weekend
My guess is your chances are low in a law suite. DOS has not promissed any thing, and what if you didn't do the visa interview well....
But still ask your employer not to cancel it.
Nothing is cheap, and most GC holders will not be eligible for free education. Mostly citizenship is needed for grants/scholarships.
