Yes you need a visitor visa If your H1 is still valid you don\'t need your AP. Actually when yoyu cross the border they do not take your i-94 card at all and they don\'t give you a new one. As long as you are in North America you don\'t need new i-94. I was in Canda last month same thing...- ajay1234
