    I 485- AOS and Checkpoint

    Thank you Jackolantern, I used to be under the H1B, but expired. I have an expired I94. I would like to fly since driving is 9 hours long. But I am afraid of flying due to immigration in the airport not knowing about the I 485. My wife wont go. Just myself. Any feedback is welcomed.

    I 485- AOS and Checkpoint

    I just filed for my I 485/ I130. I need to visit a city in the US close to Mexico, and there is a check point. My question: With the USCIS receipt of receiving my AOS, am I safe to travel to that city and pass the checkpoint with my driver's license and that receipt without the fear of deportation?
