Please help me out: my lawyer applied in March 09 for my Labor Certification, she said that there is no way that she can track my status. Is she right? I'm getting a little desperate here. How long does it takes?

My Lawyer told me that there is no way that we can track the status of my Labor Certificate. We applied for it in March 09. Please let me know if this is true and what else can i do. Thanks
